[ REVIEW ] Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Lipstick by ETUDE HOUSE in PK004 and PK005

Hey guys, another review here, and by the way, trust me, if the production of this cutie still continues, make sure you buy this! This is one of ETUDE HOUSE's product that marks the first journey of me, becoming an ETUDE HOUSE's loyal customer until today!
Actually I got this around two years ago. One is from my best friend, while one is from a special gift (purchased! Not free!). So damn old isn't it? Hahaha, but they are still good until today.

This is the picture from ETUDE HOUSE, which they have many colors from one lipstick.
I've thrown away the boxes ages ago, so I just took this from Google.

 I really love the colors, and at that time, my best friend was so into SHINee, so she, after knowing that SHINee was the current model of ETUDE HOUSE, duuhh.. you know what happen next, hahaha. What makes me attracted to this was.... its container! Soft pink with kind of ribbon, and the design of the lipstick (inside) Awhhh.. seriously! I love it! So, I told my best friend to buy it for me for my birthday (What the heck? LOL)

The container is like this, and the color presented on it is exactly what I'm going to review. PERFECT! And the box is exactly like this, except the other one. Tell me, how cute is this? Haha! Who on earth will dare to resist this cute lipstick?!

Honestly, on my first year of senior high school, aku masih gak tertarik sama sekali sama lipstik, karena kupikir semua lipstik itu sama. Pahit, bau gak enak, lembek, yuckz! Just like my mom's lipstick! Dan aku juga gak pernah bayangin bahwa botol lipstik bisa se-cute ini! ETUDE HOUSE... You nailed it!
My best friend bought this when we were still staying in Malaysia, and the price at that time was around RM59 (Rp180.000). That time RM1 is still equal to Rp3.000 or Rp3.100. Sekarang, bahkan ada yang bisa ngejual setengah harga di online shop, tapi original ya. Mungkin karena harga kaunter juga sih, so... yeah... Kita gak pernah tahu soal online shop yang ngejual produk ETUDE HOUSE di sana, karena menurut kita INI sudah murah, hehe, dan juga menghemat waktu pastinya, gak perlu nunggu PO, and the employee also can help us to choose which one is suitable.

The perfume has gone, LOL, like around this year, I think around March, but I've to admit that the smell is great and it stayed on my clothes for a day!

I bought this special package Malaysia for RM29 (Rp90.000) !! Before sale, it was RM99 (Rp300.000) ! Such a big gap isn't? Muahahaha, that was why I bought it straight away!! And that's why too I love Malaysian ETUDE HOUSE more! When they say ON SALE, it's really ON SALE! Huge different between the actual and discount price!

How cute is this??? Seriously!

See? Even the lipstick is carved so beautifully! It really makes you feel like a princess! Isn't it pretty? I'm sure if you (boys) buy this for your girlfriend, I'm sure she will be damn happy! And will try her best to look more and more pretty when you two hang out!

So, I found this lipstick is different than my mom's, well, other than the cute design of course. The lipstick also has a nice smell but I have no idea how to describe it. IT DOES SMELL, but no so strong, just..... nice. Usually my mom's lipstick is flaccid, like it will easily melt when the weather is hot! Well, what I can say is because my mom always buy local lipsticks -_- So, my lipstick here is more expensive than hers, hahahaha. That tells you the difference.

As you can see, the color of PK004 is similar with the color of my blanket. That color is darker than PK005

Semakin lama, aku jujur aja lebih tertarik sama PK004, karena warnanya lebih tua, dan somehow matches my almost-dark skin. Aku sih seringnya pakai yang tua. Kalau yang PK005, jarang pakai sih, karena warnanya terkesan muda, and somehow I remember my aunt put the same color on her lips, so I think, I kinda look older with soft pink. Tapi sebenarnya tergantung selera dan warna kulit juga sih. I love PK004 more than the other one

Aku pakai keduanya di hari yang berbeda, dengan penampilan yang berbeda. Hahaha

I've no time to do make-up on left because no battery left on my phone.

I really did look like a lion on the left photo, hahaha. I can't help it but laugh at my own picture. Can you now tell the difference? Maybe my make-up on the right did give a good look, as it matches the color of the lipstick. For clearer picture, you can look at my Instagram photos on @medyachoi_23sept.

 

Nah, on the second photo, I did put BB cream to cover blemishes and whatever, just a slight make-up to make everything A BIT perfect.

If you look at my photo, probably you will think that PK005 (soft pink) will gives you natural look like NYX Xtreme Lip Cream which I did on previous review, but trust me, it's not! Baru sadar juga sih kalau warna kayak gitu ternyata kurang cocok sama kulitku. Aku lebih suka pakai warna tua, 'cause it covers the darkness part of my lips.

    

I hope this photo can tell the difference. LOL

So, it's actually not really soft pink, but kinda pale. I look like a sick person when I wear it, especially when my clothes do not match at all.

Sampai sekarang sih aku lebih suka pakai yang pink tua daripada yang pink muda, karena cocok banget buat semua acara, dan kadang juga aku pakai ke kampus, PK004 really stands out! That's why I love it!

There is another lipstick line came out, Dear My Wish Lips Talk and I can't wait to purchase it, because the container is so dam cute again!! And the colors are similar with Dear My Blooming Lips Talk.

4. Smells nice but not too strong
5. Doesn't melt easily like other lipstick when you place it on a hot room. But please don't do that!!

[ REVIEW ] NYX Xtreme Lip Cream (XLC04 Buttery Nude)

Since my first post, aku belum bahas sama sekali soal ETUDE HOUSE, Lol! Hahaha. Padahal aku udah janji deh mau sering banget ngebahas itu, grrr! -_- It's because I'm still confused on which one I should I start first. Bahkan untuk post sekarang, tetap aja belum soal ETUDE HOUSE. Awwwhh.. I have a bunch of ETUDE HOUSE and it makes me confused!! -_-

Anyway, today's review is about NYX Xtreme Lip Cream. One word before everything, AMAZING! Here's the picture...

Believe it or not? It's actually my mother's one. SERIOUS! I gave her as a Mother's Day gift, like, almost one year ago. But every time I come back home, I am the one who used it often, like, almost every time I go out then I take this with me. Was planning to say "Mom, can I take this?", but..... Gossshh.. That's a gift I gave her -_- months and months after... Umm, last month, sehari sebelum pulang, aku komplain ke mamaku, "Kok ini gak pernah dipakai sih?", terus katanya gak ada waktu karena udah kebanyakan lipstik.. Duuuhhh -_- Well, that's because at the same day I gave her this, my sister gave her DIOR Red Lipstick! Gosshh ! Such a huge price gap between the two LOL, and my mom uses my sister's one more often, instead mine, ckckck.

Okay, back to the review.. Anyway I love this man. It's quite hard isn't it to find this color? Here's the colors NYX provided..

Mine is Buttery Nude (XLC04) Beige-pink.

I think nowadays girls are so in love with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, because of its various colors and it's so pigmented. If my mom doesn't allow me to bring this lip cream, aku udah rencana mau beli Soft Matte Lip Cream, despite of having a bunch of lipstick in my make-up desk, LOL.

I love the applicator, and also the texture. You can see the clear texture when I apply it on my lips. It's amazing you know, because the texture is creamy and thick, and also like with oil? Haha. So you don't have to apply so much because it spreads well. Kamu bisa pakai buat bibir atas bawah dengan amount yang gak terlalu banyak, seperti gambar yang pertama contohnya, yang ada di ujung applicator-nya. But in my case, because I need to show you guys, so I need a bit more to apply so you can see the different.
Owh, anyway, I forgot to snap a picture of my bare lips -_- so sorry

And then, I used the one on my hand (above this paragraph) on my bottom lips..

 

Nah, now you can see that upper lips has nothing, and anyway I was also bare faced (forgot to put on make-up first). I was using the one on my hand on my bottom lips, and in this picture it doesn't show you clearly soalnya maaf ya, tangan cuma dua, dan ngandelin kamera depan buat foto, hahaha. Jadi kadang gak bisa focus.

Next, I put this little too on my upper lips... (I already put on my make-up, a bit messy I know -_- )

 and then spread it on my entire upper lips........

And here's the result after spreading it well on my entire lips. Looks natural isn't it? That's why I love it. 

Nowadays, I guess girls are looking for a natural-color lipstick, so that it fully covers your lips without losing its (lips) original color. If you do like this, then I guess you should pick this. Kayaknya gak nyesel deh aku ngambil ini dari mamaku, hahaha. Warnanya asli bagus banget.
Selain itu, untuk harga cuma lumayan murah. I can say that NYX and elf are affordable if you are looking for high quality make-up, compared to ETUDE HOUSE, hmm.. ETUDE HOUSE is a little bit more expensive, or maybe the same?

For some girls, the packaging is really important, especially if the color or package is eye-catching and unique. For me, yes it is, but it depends on what brands. NYX, elf, MAC, Coastal Scent, etc, are really simple with their design. Typical black box or cover and small mirror inside. The Body Shop, Elianto, and The Face Shop come with their colorful yet simple design. The color depends on the ingredients. Example: Chocolate / Almond as the ingredient, then the box will be chocolate, and so on so forth. While ETUDE HOUSE, they are known for their pink package and also with a cute design, because they are meant for teenager who wants to feel like a princess... Like, "Let me experience it~~~" Hahahaha

In conclusion, I really love this, and I do really want to try other color, but I'm waiting for my whole lipstick to finish, and it's going to take some times~!! :'(
I used to put on lip balm when I have this on my lips (usually after I eat) in order to make it more glossy but not oily! However, It does help this lip cream to stay longer, but yeah, after some times it fades away.

PROS:

1. Cheap in price (approximately $7 - $9 = Less than Rp100.000 in the counter)

2. Pigmented and long-lasting (depends on what you do)

3. Very light and small (easy to carry)

4. Various natural colors are provided

5. Simple design

CONS:

1. The lid is... less tight? Kurang kencang? LOL. Kurang tahu kenapa tapi pernah aku masukin ke dalam tas (tanpa pouch), I just simply put it in, eee.. Pas mau diambil, malah mbeleber di tas, dan hampir aja ngotorin tas :'( So, I guess YOU BETTER DO NOT SIMPLY PUT IT IN in your bag!

2. I can't see the current portion inside, because, I don't know.. Is it the color of the bottle the same with content? I really can't see how much left.. Unpredictable. Haha, Just like mascara.

 DO I WANT TO RE-PURCHASE?

YES! Different color probably!

So, I'm back again with another review. This time... err.. I'm reviewing 2 brands of BB cream, to compare them, but I won't say which one is better and blablabla, because I'm using both of them, regularly.

Aku bilang di atas kalau aku menggunakan kedua-duanya. Hah? Kok Bisa? Kalau ada acara penting, umm.. ya gak usah penting-penting banget deh, contohnya aja ke kampus dan jalan-jalan, nah, aku pakai yang merk ETUDE HOUSE, sedangkan kalo cuma untuk keluar, apa ya.. kalau dibilang, cuma untuk melindungi wajah dari debu, dan selain itu, paling cuma 1 jam atau 2 jam, nah.. baru aku pakai yang GARNIER.

Alasannya? Ya soalnya GARNIER lebih murah kan, jadi boros-boros sedikit gak apa-apa deh, hahahahaha. Back to the point, anyway, I enjoy using the 2 products, still, and I think I will keep on buying GARNIER, and moreover, my mom likes GARNIER too, and since the tube is quite small, so we can carry it without any risk (example: tube cover breaks or something)

 

ETUDE HOUSE one is written in Korea, while GARNIER in English. Anyway, I threw away the box of GARNIER so I can't capture the ingredients, whether there is a Paraben or not. Please do check by yourself. But, for ETUDE HOUSE I still have it. I won't write all the words from the GARNIER anyway, I think you still can see from the picture, hahaha. By the way, I only take a picture of English explanation

This is my bare face. Not really bare, I just put a cream to moisturize I would say, like.. to prepare my skin, so it won't be too dry when I put BB cream. Looks a bit old huh? Hahahaha

Anyway, here is another BB cream picture. ETUDE HOUSE has pump, which I love it a lot! While GARNIER just like this, tube-type, hahaha, dan kalau aku pikir sih, untuk kebersihan atau higienitas, aku lebih suka yang ada pompanya. Nah, selain itu, seperti yang kalian lihat di foto bawah ini, kalau model-model tube, krimnya bisa keluar-keluar sampai di mulutnya, and I hate it.

GARNIER's texture. Lebih cair dan terasa banget gak terlalu padat. Jadi lebih ringan.

ETUDE HOUSE's texture. Lebih padat dan lebih creamy. Jadi agak lebih berat

Okay, let's summarize... GARNIER's one is not that creamy and not so heavy. So, because the texture is not that heavy, I can spread the cream wider and wider, but sometimes, since I think if I can spread wider, means I need  A LOT to put. GARNIER's shade is darker than ETUDE HOUSE, but actually that doesn't make any difference when I put it,. Really. I can't tell at all. It's around the same.

So, I put GARNIER on my right side, and ETUDE HOUSE on my left.

 NOTE: I'm still in my naked face here!

The advertisement in Indonesia approximately is like this, staring Pevita Pearce. They change the model after some periods but no development on the product (such as ingredients may be). And then, for your information too, they only sell it with one shade that will match the majority here. Sorry to say, but most Indonesians are a bit darker

The advertisement with Sandara Park. As you can see above, ETUDE HOUSE has various shades from light to dark tone, and I'm using W13. I think I'm going to stuck with that shades, or maybe next time gonna take the darker one,W24.

If you still can't tell the difference, you can see it on my nose. I had a big pimples there and it's almost one month, still the mark doesn't disappear, but the 'content' already gone. Now I'm going to deal with that, grrrrr....

In Indonesia and for Indonesian, if you buy 1 ETUDE HOUSE, approximately, you can get 5 - 6 tubes of GARNIER (If you buy the ETUDE HOUSE one in online shop). But what I'm going to tell you is, price tells it all. Some products, the more expensive it is, the higher the advantage and good point they have. However, in my opinion, GARNIER does a good job too on my face.

PROS:

GARNIER:

1. Cheap in price

2. Good coverage (3.5 / 5)

3. Available in pharmacy / cosmetic counter / supermarket

4. Parfumey~~~~ I personally love the smell, but if some of you can't take the smell, then go with ETUDE HOUSE

ETUDE HOUSE:

1. Perfect coverage (4.5 / 5 ) 

2. Available only in ETUDE HOUSE counter and online shops only

3. Sample is available. The sample is used for BB cream newbie, to test whether it matches your skin tone. In Indonesia, they sell it, but if you go the counter, they will give you for free IF YOU PURCHASE SOMETHING (more than 2 items)

4. Available in various shades 

5. It comes with pump, which I find it cute and I love it!

6. The SPF is higher than GARNIER 

CONS:

GARNIER:

1. Since it's cheaper, so they just come out with a TUBE

2. Only 1 shade is available in Indonesia, while here, I mean, not everyone's skin is darker, there are also Chinese and so on.

ETUDE HOUSE:

1. Pricey, but I can still afford it.

2. Can't simply put it in my bag. I'm afraid the tube's cover might break, so sometimes I just bring GARNIER instead. It is made of plastic that can easily break.

3. In Indonesia, the price in the counter is 2 -3 times higher, so you have no choice but to buy it online. Duhh.. You have to deal with "Trust", hahaha.

DO I WANT TO RE-PURCHASE?

For GARNIER yes, but ETUDE HOUSE, umm.. I don't think I will buy this BRIGHT FIT anymore, because actually, BRIGHT FIT is for those who have a quite dry skin, so BRIGHT FIT makes the face a bit glowing. IF YOUR SKIN IS OILY, YOU NEED TO HAVE THE COTTON FIT ONE!

I'm sure you have heard about this word, Paraben lately, and I would say that this word is like a trend this year. People are more aware right now about this. Still don't get me? Okay read this.. 

"Parabens is a term used within the vernacular of the specialty chemicals industry to describe a series of parahydroxybenzoates or esters of parahydroxybenzoic acid (also known as 4-hydroxybenzoic acid). Parabens are widely used as preservatives by cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are effective preservatives in many types of formulas. These compounds, and their salts, are used primarily for their bactericidal and fungicidal properties. They can be found in shampoos, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, personal lubricants, topical/parenteral pharmaceuticals, spray tanning solution, makeup, and toothpaste.  I don't know why in Indonesia, Paraben is still legally used by people, as the effect is as dangerous as mercury or just let's say smoking. It is killing you slowly.
Starting this month, I become more aware of everything I use, especially with something which directly touches my skin, and of course have to check the ingredients too before buying. Make sure you are selective now in choosing cosmetic and skincare products. It does cost a little, buying free-paraben product, but why not? I'm sure you don't want to put your life in the line.
Paraben is a preservative in a cosmetic, just like MSG in snacks and so on. Usually, cheap cosmetics DO use Paraben, for sure. That's TOXIC !!
Know the trick! They always write it like "Methylparaben, ethylparaben, etc" (Damn it! That's chemistry!), and always positioned it near the end.

I'm now, totally avoiding product that contains Paraben, walaupun aku suka produknya, atau produknya bermanfaat, atau karena murah sekalipun, I SAY NO! I WON'T TAKE YOU!
Prove it yourself guys. When you go to a supermarket to buy skin cares or whatever, look for the ingredients first. And then, untuk pembaca yang di Indonesia, mungkin kalian bisa lihat sendiri di supermarket terdekat. Biasanya dia ada di sabun cuci muka, kebanyakannya sih body lotion dan krim wajah. Aku gak bisa mention namanya di sini pastinya, jadi ini inisiatif sendiri kalau kalian mau cari tahu. Oh ya, bahkan di sabun daerah kewanitaan juga ada lho. Bahkan kalau dibilang merek ini udah beriklan di TV, yang ada daun sirihnya itu lho... I hope you know. Kalau dibilang, aku lumayan sering lama pakai brand itu, tapi sejak tahu Paraben, sekarang aku pindah ke Lac***id. Mahal memang but FREE Paraben. Bisa dicek kok.

I told my mom about this, and she becomes more aware now about anything she wants to buy, because last time, my mom was so greedy, even to her own skin. She bought cheap product without looking for the ingredients first. What she knows is only, "This is cheap. The usage of all of this is the same. Why paying more for same product?" Like that....
I guess now she's kind of regret.. Hahaha

[ REVIEW ] MAYBELLINE NEW YORK MAKE UP REMOVER Eye & Lip

Today I woke up quite late, so there was no time to do make-up or whatever, and since it's Friday, people in my college don't really care about how the students dressed. Sometimes, the lecturer even wears a T-shirt and jeans or tank top with skirt. My college is that nice, hahaha

Anyway, since I didn't do so much make-up today, so here's my face after class. I only have mascara and lip cream.

NO FILTER!

As you can see there, my lip cream.... has faded away, and maybe you can't see the mascara well, because I was still sleepy in the morning, so if I have to make my lashes more volume (means thick mascara), I have to deal with sleepiness in school, IT'S SO HEAVY! That's why I didn't put too much mascara.

Oh yeah, and usually I'll put eyeliner too and bronzer on my cheek, but no time today.

Anyway, do you know guys? kalau pembersih muka biasa itu kurang bagus untuk menghapus make-up di muka. Contohnya sih kalo di Indonesia, ya OVALE gitu (itu yang aku pakai). Soalnya pembersih muka biasa ada ALCOHOL-nya, yang kalau menurutku sendiri, agak kurang bagus untuk membersihkan kelopak mata, buat bibir, apalagi! I tried to do it of course. Untuk mata, yang jelas pastinya bikin mata malah pedes! Apalagi kalau gak sengaja kena. Kalau untuk bibir, malah buat bibirku pecah-pecah. I'm not so expert in this thing, but just make sure that you buy that separately. Face cleanser for face (eyes and lip excluded!). Make-up cleanser for eye and lip ONLY. 

I've been using MAYBELLINE MAKE UP REMOVER (40 ml) for the whole month. It was 1 set with the yellow volume mascara in guardian, dan pas banget harganya 1 setnya murah, ya pasti beli lah, hahaha. Here's the pictures...

Aku gak tau berapa harga aslinya kalau dibeli terpisah. I think I saw it but I forgot how much.

So, I applied some on a cotton pad. IF YOUR COTTON PAD IS TOO BIG, SOBEK AJA SEPARUHNYA SUPAYA GAK BUANG-BUANG. JANGAN BOROS!

2. Tersedia botol kecil dan besar, jadi gampang dibawa kemana-mana

3. Available in pharmacy / cosmetic counter. Kayak guardian dan Watsons, atau mana-mana aja yang ada counter khusus MAYBELLINE.

CONS:

1. It doesn't cleanse your make-up right away, I mean, harus digosok-gosok sedikit apalagi untuk mascara dan eyeliner yang waterproof, but still great

DO I WANT TO RE-PURCHASE?

Maybe, but I love to try other brand, which is a little bit cheaper
